Let’s learn about baseball!
1. Baseball is a game played between two teams.
野球は2つのチームが戦うゲームだよ。
2. One team tries to score runs by hitting a ball and running around bases.
一方のチームはボールを打ってベースを走り、点を取ろうとするんだ。
3. The other team tries to stop them by catching the ball and tagging the runners.
もう一方のチームはボールを捕まえたり、走者にタッチしたりして、それを阻止しようとするんだ。
4. A player from one team throws the ball to a player on the other team who tries to hit it with a bat.
一方のチームの選手がボールを投げ、もう一方のチームの選手がバットで打とうとするんだ。
5. If the batter hits the ball and runs to the first base before the other team gets the ball to that base, they are safe.
バッターがボールを打って一塁に到達する前に、相手チームがボールを一塁に送れなかったら、そのバッターはセーフだよ。
6. They can then try to run to second, third, and finally home base to score a run.
それから二塁、三塁、そしてホームベースへと走って、点を取ることができるんだ。
7. The team with the most runs at the end of the game wins!
