Mei’s parents reveal a shocking secret: this transformation is a mystical connection that runs in their family. Any strong emotion—excitement, anger, or stress—will release the panda. The only way to control it is through a special ritual on the night of a red moon. While Mei struggles with this new reality, she also discovers that her friends accept her, panda and all. She even finds that her fluffy form can make her popular and help raise money for 4-TOWN concert tickets. This new side of her starts to conflict with her mother’s strict expectations.

Mei chooses her friends, causing a huge argument with her mother, who becomes desperate to save her. At the concert, Mei’s emotions run high, and her mother’s own long-suppressed panda is unleashed in a truly gigantic form. The climax is a showdown between mother and daughter, which ultimately leads to understanding, forgiveness, and healing for the whole family. In the end, Mei decides not to seal her panda away. She chooses to embrace all parts of herself.
