Long ago, the demigod Maui stole the heart of the goddess Te Fiti, which brought darkness to the islands.

A young woman named Moana, the daughter of the chief of her island, is chosen by the ocean to find Maui and make him return the heart to save her people and their home.

She sails across the ocean, faces dangers, meets Maui, and together they journey to restore Te Fiti’s heart.
